Our Church School's annual Thanksgiving Food Drive to help SOS Community Services started on October 5, 2014, and ends on November 16, 2014, which is the Sunday before the week of Thanksgiving.

This means that there only two Sundays left! So, please try to bring your donated food item as early as possible.

Please remind your Church School student(s) to please donate one item based on their Grade as shown below:

    • Preschool: 1 can of Corn

    • K–1st Grade: 1 box of Potato Flakes

    • 2nd–3rd Grade: 1 can of Green Beans

    • 4th–5th Grade: 1 box/bag of Stuffing

    • 6th–7th Grade: 1 can of Cranberry Sauce

    • 8th–9th Grade: 1 can of Mixed Fruit

    • 10th–12th Grade: 1 small box/bag of Rice.

Each classroom has a collection box with a sample food item inside.

Here is some more information about SOS Community Services.

SOS Community Services (www.soscs.org)

SOS Community Services in Ypsilanti started out in 1970 as a small, grassroots effort by local college students to serve their peers during times of crisis. Last year, 4,719 different people received food, crisis help, and a place to call home because of SOS. For the last 40 years, SOS volunteers and staff have been a lifeline to tens of thousands of homeless families in our community.
