2012-03-11: Oratorical Festival News

Our parish 2012 St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival took place on Sunday, March 11, 2012.

A total of 12 students in the Junior Division (Grades 6-9) presented their speeches in the Social Hall (10:00 to 11:30 AM). Fortunately, the Junior Division speeches ended at about the same time as the Divine Liturgy.

For the first time, the Senior Division (6 students in Grades 10-12) had the opportunity to deliver their speeches in a more formal setting inside the church (12:30 to 1:30 PM). The new time and larger space also allowed family members and other interested parishioners to attend the Senior Division speeches.

We would like to recognize and thank our students, their families, and everyone who helped with our Oratorical Festival.

Especially, we would like to thank Dr. Vicki Kiningham, our Oratorical Festival Chair, who once again did a fantastic job!
