Oratorical Festival Skills

Ms. Artemis Alex (and occasionally other parishioners) have made several excellent guest presentations to our Church School students about preparing and delivering a speech at our St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival.

Some of the topics addressed were:

• • How to write an effective essay

  • Presentation skills

  • Examples of "good" and "not so good" speeches

As part of these presentations, Ms. Alex (along with other parishioners occasionally) wrote and distributed handouts that are available to download at the right side of this page.

Ms. Artemis Alex has served as an Oratorical Festival judge and is a former Ypsilanti High School teacher. She taught ACT with Writing Preparation Courses and Business Classes for many years.
